Nutty Overnight Oats

For those of you, who already like to get excited about breakfast the following morning.

Chance that your camping neighbor will come over for breakfast: only for early birds!

You need:

  • 250ml milk or plant-based alternative
  • 100g steel cut oats
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter, cashew butter...)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or another sweetener such as agave syrup or honey)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Topping of choice (berries, pomegranate, cinnamon, fruit or similar)

Let's do this:

Step 1:
250ml milk, 2 tsp chia seeds, 4 tbsp nut butter, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1 pinch salt

To a mason jar or bowl with a lid, add milk, chia seeds, nut butter, maple syrup, and salt and stir with a spoon to combine.

Step 2:
100g oat

Add oats and stir a few more times. Then press down with a spoon to make sure all oats are covered with liquid.

Step 3:

Cover securely with a lid and set in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours or overnight.

Step 4:
Toppings of your choice (cocoa nibs, goji berries, hemp seeds, fresh fruit, etc.)

Go crazy is the motto for the next morning: personalize your overnight oats with the toppings you like or what you can find in the van!
